The revolving bottle is a unique ornamental device created by Tang Ying, the governor of the kiln in the early Qianlong Dynasty. It consists of bottleneck, abdomen, seat and inner gallbladder. The inner gallbladder of the revolving bottle can change different angles of painting, which is very peculiar. Turning-heart bottle is a treasure of Han ceramic art, which belongs to a kind of bottle style created in Qing Dynasty.
It is very difficult to make a rotary bottle. The bottom of the outer bottle should be made into a chicken heart-shaped button, and the bottom of the inner bottle into a chicken heart-shaped slot. The button and slot should be absolutely identical. In particular, the drying rate of outer and inner bottles should be considered, and the shrinkage rate after firing should be well controlled. If you don't pay attention to it a little, it will be useless to make the button and groove not coincide with each other, even if there is more hard work ahead. Therefore, the cost of making bottles is very high, often "one in a hundred". Nevertheless, "what is best above and what is best below" is all for the court, and it is not cost-effective to please the emperor.
In order to rotate the revolving cylinder, the inner shell must be concentric circle. To achieve this, only the internal and external moulds can be formed, and the upper edge of the inner gallbladder can be flexibly connected with the external parts after pulling embryo and connecting the inner gallbladder, and to ensure that the firing is not deformed, so the mold mortar is required to be extremely delicate, only the best paste mortar can be achieved, otherwise, because the mold moulder will be deformed due to the poor quality of the tire and affect the coloring, which can not achieve the desired effect. Secondly, many times of baking, because the glaze water is too thick to sinter together from inside to outside, which is extremely difficult, so the number of rotary bottles is very small, and the market price has been high.
